Taking the best photos

Taking the best photos

A better starting photo means a more accurate result. These take seconds.

  1. 1

    Use good light

Daylight from a window is ideal. Avoid harsh spotlights and strong coloured light, which change how colours look.
  2. 2

    Photograph the entire garment

Leave a little space around every edge. Zuno won't invent parts that are outside the photo, and will ask you to retake it.
  3. 3

    Keep the camera straight above

Hold your phone parallel to the floor, directly over the middle of the item. Angled shots distort proportions.
  4. 4

    Don't cover important details

Move hands, tags and other items out of the way. Unfold pockets, hoods and collars that hide features.
  5. 5

    Make logos and prints visible

Smooth out wrinkles over logos, labels and graphics so they are flat and readable.
  6. 6

    Use a clear, sharp photo

Tap to focus and hold still. Blurry photos make small text hard to preserve, and Zuno will warn you.

Showing wear honestly

If the item has marks, pilling or fading that a buyer should know about, keep them visible. Zuno is instructed not to remove genuine signs of wear, and you can add close-up photos of them to your listing.
